For some reason that I never knew, I liked the Facebook page of a local Nissan dealer. They posted this seemingly regular photo of a Nissan Maxima with a livery. But then I zoomed in, and...
ULTIMA GTR!

Err ... and a BMW X6 at that Nissan dealer, too?

Bruh, pretty sure that's an X5

Possibly the owner’s cars?

Gotta be the wrap shop...no way is a Nissan dealer that exciting, especially given DeMuro’s experiences with his R32 at his Nissan dealer...

Coming back to this post, I don’t hate the Maxima. Weird.

The new Maxima, admittedly, is not bad.

I do find the marketing for it annoying though.
4 DOOR SPORTS CAR! Oh really? Manual? Nope. DCT? Nope. RWD? Nope. AWD at least? Nope. Well what do you get then? FWD only and CVT? CVT?!

That’s a well-balanced rant. If they had slapped that label (“4dr sports”) on a GT-R -based Infinity, I would have given them applause.
It looks so grim up front, yet falls so short to deliver.
CVT doesn’t necessarily have to be bad. Imagine having a low-rpm Diesel and fishing for that mountain of torque by way of a CVT.
It’s just sad, though, when paired with an anemic gasoline engine.
